Privacy Policy

Bulbul Classes provides one-to-one live Arabic speaking practice. This policy covers bulbulclasses.com and the student, specialist and administrative portals we operate. We are the controller of the personal data described below.

For anything in this policy, write to contact@bulbulclasses.com. We answer within thirty calendar days.

When you create an account: your name, email address, and — if you choose to give it — a WhatsApp number. Your time zone is read from your browser so sessions are shown at the right hour; you can correct it in your profile.

When you use the platform: the sessions you book, attend, reschedule or cancel; who taught them; feedback and notes exchanged between you and your specialist; messages you send us.

When you pay: a record of what was purchased and what it cost. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.

What you tell us at signup: that you are eighteen or over, and which version of our terms you accepted. We record when you told us, because it is evidence of what was agreed rather than a preference you can revise.

To provide the service you have paid for — matching you with a specialist, running your sessions, and keeping an accurate record of your credits and payments. To contact you about your bookings. To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Occasional news and offers. Off unless you tick it. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.

Using session data to improve teaching quality. Off unless you tick it, and separate from everything above. Turning it off does not affect your lessons.

Both can be changed at any time from your profile, or by writing to us.

Supabase — hosts our database and handles account sign-in.

Resend — sends our email: verification codes, booking confirmations, and account notices.

Cloudflare — serves the website and the portals.

HubSpot — holds contact records so we can respond to enquiries and support requests.

Google — only if you choose to sign in with a Google account. In that case Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture. It does not tell us your password, and we never see it.

Each of these acts on our instructions and may not use your data for its own purposes.

Your account and session history stay for as long as you have an account with us. Records we are required to retain for accounting or tax purposes are kept for the period the law requires, even after an account is closed.

We also hold records of lessons taught before this platform existed, so that students who studied with us previously keep the credit and history they are owed. The same rights below apply to those records.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to contact@bulbulclasses.com and we will respond within thirty calendar days.

Deletion has limits we would rather state plainly than bury: we cannot delete records we are legally required to keep, and we cannot delete data during an open dispute or investigation. Where that applies, we will tell you which records and why.

You can withdraw consent for marketing or for the teaching-quality use at any time, without affecting the service you receive.

Our providers operate internationally, so your data may be stored or processed outside the country you live in. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.

Bulbul is for adults. You must confirm you are eighteen or over to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will remove it.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you directly rather than relying on you to notice.
